Howdy ya'll. I've got some serious facts to share with you about the food that I've been eatin' that may help ya'll too.
Before I get started, Mom can we adjust the lighting a bit?
No! No! That's way too bright!
Before I get started, Mom can we adjust the lighting a bit?
No! No! That's way too bright!
I think that's got it.
Now where was I?
Oh yeah, the Dirty Dozen...
Now where was I?

Those of you who know my mom, know that she is all about the environment and living green. When it comes to my food, she is working hard to give me the best. Currently here is the full menu of foods I have devoured: rice cereal, sweet potatoes, apples, peas, and pears. ALL are ORGANIC!! The best is if you can buy organic and local but trying to find both can be quite challenging sometimes especially if you're looking for something in the "wrong" season.
Mom pureed the apples and sweet potatoes. There are some yellow squash laying on the counter waiting to be prepped soon. Here's a pic of the tools she used to make up the sweet potatoes. It only took about thirty minutes from start to finish and saved lots of money.

So here's the scoop with the Dirty Dozen. There are twelve fruits and veggies that traditionally have the highest levels of pesticides on them. If Mom can't find an organic version of them, I'm not eating them (at least for now). Here's the list: apples, bell peppers, celery, grapes (imported), nectarines, peaches, pears, potatoes, red raspberries, spinach and strawberries.
Be cautioned. All of this good organic food may put you in a tater state of mind...
but usually it gives me quite a boost!

Gotta love Mom for looking out for me! Now ya'll run along now and get some good organic food from Farmer Anthony just down the road a piece. Yeehaw!!
