An Intro from Mom

On May 12, 2007 closed in the privacy of my bathroom I found out I was pregnant. The weight of knowledge that my life (and most likely my body) would never be the same was overwhelming. I was excited and scared all rolled into one (and still am!)

Thacker will do his best to share with you his adventures. Enjoy!

A Historic Day!

Yep that's right. I turned 13 months old today!! Woohoo!! I know you got distracted by my long locks and HUGE smile, but see my apple? I've got it safely tucked in my hands while I run around the dining room table. Just for comparison, here is the first pic of me and the apple when I was one month old. I was doing my happy one month old dance. A year has gone by and I'm HUGE now!!

Over the last couple of days I have discovered that I really like "running" around the house. I am having lots of fun mastering this running skill. When Mom or Dad chase me, I take off, start laughing and laughing, until I tumble - overwhelmed with laughter and momentum. My laughter is contagious. Mom and Dad start laughing. Sometimes they fall over too, but I'm not sure whether it's from laughter and momentum or just exhaustion from chasing me. After all this running, I plop down in the kitchen for a little snack. Mom says we need to get busy baking so I put my apple on the shelf for later. We're going to make some of Michelle Obama's shortbread cookies to help celebrate this historic day. I've got my pot and I'm ready to help.
