I'm long overdue for a bit a babbling with you. Winding up 2009 with all of its festivities only led to a wild ride through January. After my birthday was Christmas, then New Years, then Mom got a new computer. Getting the new computer put a real hitch in my blogging giddy up. We've been downloading/uploading/side connecting software and peripheral devices to get the system up and running again.
Last week was the douzy when my pediatrician sent us directly to the hospital. We were there Wednesday through Friday and almost didn't get out Friday. Luckily Mom worked her magic and I was home in my bed by 9:30 p.m. We slept A LOT on Saturday and had a great day on Sunday.
Dad is away at Daytona for an extended weekend so on Thursday night we decided to go do something new.
Mom and I drove to see the big star all lit up at night -
the Mill Mountain Star overlooking Roanoke!
The sky was filled with little stars, a big moon (see it to the left of the big star?), and the valley was filled with twinkling city lights. I liked the star but I also liked the tower with flashing lights.
I'm pointing it out to you over here.
Despite it being a little chilly and being the ONLY ones up there on the mountain, it was good to get out and do something fun. Good thing we went on our adventure when we did because it's Saturday and we're snowed in again - 10" and it's still coming down.
