An Intro from Mom

On May 12, 2007 closed in the privacy of my bathroom I found out I was pregnant. The weight of knowledge that my life (and most likely my body) would never be the same was overwhelming. I was excited and scared all rolled into one (and still am!)

Thacker will do his best to share with you his adventures. Enjoy!

Blue Cow Arts

Mom and I are having a hard time finding an excuse NOT to go to Floyd these days. When we heard Green Label Organics was having a sale in addition to the free concert at the park in town, we were outta here! First Mom and I stopped by Green Label and scoured the sale racks. Rain and George Lipson were there. I decided Rain was very huggable from the first moment I met her (may have had something to do with Mom getting a big hug from her). I gave Rain LOTS of hugs while Mom shopped. We LOVE their t-shirts. I'll show you my new one sometime soon.

On to free music...Dogtown Pizza was there with their traveling brick oven cooking up their scrumptious pizzas in front of their soon-to-be permanent spot. We'll be back again sometime soon to experience the ambiance of their new digs. You should go too! They're supposed to open in mid-May.

Mom and I shared a cheese pizza. I ate one half (minus the crust) all by myself. Washing it down with a little ginger ale from the Floyd Country Store made dinner perfect. The music was great. We heard Folk Soul Revival and the Hackensaw Boys.

I had a great dance partner.

The evening was beautiful. Floyd is good for the soul.
