An Intro from Mom

On May 12, 2007 closed in the privacy of my bathroom I found out I was pregnant. The weight of knowledge that my life (and most likely my body) would never be the same was overwhelming. I was excited and scared all rolled into one (and still am!)

Thacker will do his best to share with you his adventures. Enjoy!

Chillin'...Creekside

This past Saturday Mom and I headed south for good music and summer fun. On the way, we stopped at our buddy Paul's house for some yummy grilled cheese sandwiches. Paul cooks a mean grilled cheese...buttery bread, cheddar cheese, goat cheese and sliced apples...need I say more? With satiated bellies and the day's heat lingering, cool times at the Newport Community Park lay ahead. Car parked, dude unbuckled and ambling towards the bluegrass music with my tractor in hand, I saw the slide, ditched the tractor, tore up the steps on the slide, and went for the WHHHEEEE!! I love slides! The slide captured my attention until someone mentioned bubbles. This bubble machine was a kid magnet and lots of fun. But then...I spotted some kids playing in Sinking Creek and I wanted in on the fun. The water was a welcome relief from the heat. The rocks were great for tossing and making big splashes. Clambering over rocks, blowing bubbles, soaking all my clothes, and loving every minute of it, creeks are a new summer found love.
