An Intro from Mom

On May 12, 2007 closed in the privacy of my bathroom I found out I was pregnant. The weight of knowledge that my life (and most likely my body) would never be the same was overwhelming. I was excited and scared all rolled into one (and still am!)

Thacker will do his best to share with you his adventures. Enjoy!

Leaf Pile!!

How beautifully leaves grow old.  How full of light and color are their last days.
~John Burroughs

Mom and I raked up all of the leaves from our two big old silver maples in our front yard and piled them around one tree. We love raking leaves on a clear, sunny day. The air is crisp. The exercise is great. The reward is FUN!! Some of the neighborhood kids and I jumped around in the pile of leaves, whipping leaves into flight once again, and scattering leaves everywhere. Nightfall came. Mom and I pretended to be deer and nestled in to listen to the night's songs and relish in the warmth of the our autumn bed of leaves.
