Today is Mom's birthday - 36 whopin' years old! We got up and celebrated by going to the health department to get one of my immunization shots. Yippee! (I only cried a little.) After I got my shot, Mom took me to Mrs. Leah's and then came home to work, clean house, and do a few fun things for her birthday. She went out to lunch at El Rodeo. She was so happy when they opened up a restaurant within two miles of our house. While there she started reading Three Cups of Tea, a book she borrowed from her friends Nell and Pete. Mom likes to read and thinks this is going to be a good book. This afternoon she opened up the windows and went out on the deck to enjoy the fall foliage. 
This sunset maple is Mom's favorite for fall colors. She kicked up her heels and relaxed for a bit underneath it. 
Senna and Sprout thought it was a beautiful day too. 
All in all I think Mom had a good birthday. 
P.S. We do miss Dad. He's at Road Atlanta with AJ and Pat, thus the reason for all the self portraits.. Go AJ!! We're routing for ya!
