An Intro from Mom

On May 12, 2007 closed in the privacy of my bathroom I found out I was pregnant. The weight of knowledge that my life (and most likely my body) would never be the same was overwhelming. I was excited and scared all rolled into one (and still am!)

Thacker will do his best to share with you his adventures. Enjoy!

My First Election

Today was a big day - my first time to the voting booth and my first time to experience a presidential election! Mom and I hung out at home for a bit this morning until the pre-work crowd had pushed through then we were off to the polls. There was no line! We showed the poll workers Mom's voter registration card and were off to the "booth". Mom and I hit all the buttons required for the new president/vice president, senator and representative and then hit the big VOTE button. Mom took this picture of us outside of the polls with her cellphone camera. We were home in less than 30 minutes. That was fun! I'm happy to be an American with the right to vote (well, in about 18 years, but you know what I mean).
