An Intro from Mom

On May 12, 2007 closed in the privacy of my bathroom I found out I was pregnant. The weight of knowledge that my life (and most likely my body) would never be the same was overwhelming. I was excited and scared all rolled into one (and still am!)

Thacker will do his best to share with you his adventures. Enjoy!

Flashback: September 2013 through December 2014

Social media gurus undoubtedly have seen the acronym TBT for Throw Back Thursday. People dig up gems of pictures from yesteryear. I'm going to do my own version of throw back in a series of posts called Flashback. I'll fill in the gap from the start of kindergarten to now, but it's going to take a few posts. I've had fun!

Mrs. Bethel, my teacher, and I are picking the perfect apple while on our field trip at the Johnson's Apple Orchard in mid-September.
Mom and I are basking in the glory of our freshly picked apples from the apple orchard.
The perfect spot for post-bike ride is the Wasena Tap Room in late September with cousins Marc and Alexa.
Beware the Trick or Treat Gang! I'm cleverly disguised as a minion from Despicable Me.

Mom spent her birthday with almost fifty of her favorite 5 and 6-year olds at the Jeter Farm Pumpkin Patch. Before we left on the field trip, we all sang happy birthday to her. I think we made her day and we were just getting started. The hay ride out to the pumpkin patch was only part of the fun. We bounced!
I'm overjoyed to be riding the cow train with Matthew (my classmate and neighbor) and Olivia, one of my girlfriends.
There's nothing like having a friend invite you to their birthday party so you can pummel each other with foam barbells. Nick, thanks for a fun party at Pump It Up!
Julian and I waged a Nerf gun battle pre-, during, and post-Thanksgiving dinner.
Happiness and silliness abound in our family (or maybe we were suffering from an overdose of tryptophan and sugar post-Thanksgiving).
On an unseasonably warm December evening, we watched the lighting of the downtown Roanoke Christmas tree
We went to see two plays in December. We saw "A Little House on the Prarie Christmas" at the Roanoke Children's Theatre. I loved meeting the cast afterwards. Here I am with "Mary" and "Laura". I also went to see my first full length theatrical production at Mill Mountain Theatre. We saw "The Sound of Music".
The school holiday play was the last task on our class agenda before heading out on Christmas break. Do you see me? I'm on the bottom left.
Guess who turned 6?
This guy!
Lego Hero Factory battles at The Palisades pre-birthday dinner are sometimes required to test the worthiness of our barkeep. We love you Ashley!

January through March 2014 are coming up next!
