An Intro from Mom

On May 12, 2007 closed in the privacy of my bathroom I found out I was pregnant. The weight of knowledge that my life (and most likely my body) would never be the same was overwhelming. I was excited and scared all rolled into one (and still am!)

Thacker will do his best to share with you his adventures. Enjoy!

March Snow Day

Mom has been telling me about the month of March - Daylight Saving Time, Ides of March, St. Patricks Day, first day of spring, and an adage, "In like a lion and out like a lamb." Well, if lions are white and cold then March came in like a lion. On March 1 it snowed! Mom opened the window shade in my room and the world looked a bit different on Monday, March 2. I had to take a good look. All the things that used to be green and black were now all white. After lunch we ventured outside for a few minutes. I'm not quite sure what is on my feet. My socks and shoes are under there somewhere. Mom said Jeff Foxworthy would be proud. Guess I'll try walking through this snow and see what I can see. So far so good. Whoa! Hmmm...walking through this stuff is harder than it looks and did you know that it's COLD. After doing this routine a couple more times, I was done. Mom shed the bags off my feet and I toddled around on the driveway (the part Mom had shoveled earlier that morning). This was much better. Being careful not to get the yellow snow, I sampled some - cold but tasty - very much like the ice cubes Senna, Sprout and I like to eat whenever Mom and Dad get ice from the icemaker. Mom snapped a couple pics while I was pondering about the quiet and beauty of the snow. After a chilly wind gust came blasting through, we decided to call it day and headed in.

One of the best feelings in the world is getting out of cold snow clothes, pulling off your socks...and running around the house with them flying in your hands.
